A night out in Leeds with a twist

Check out some of our recommended activities.

Leeds nightlife is vibrant and plentiful.  Offering something to suit every taste and every occasion allowing visitors and locals to try new things, see new places, and take part in new activities!

Like many cities, Leeds comes alive at night.  Whether you want to take in the views from some of the bars, pubs, and clubs, sit back and relax sipping cocktails and catching up with friends, or experience live shows for the first or the hundredth time – Leeds has something for everyone.

To help on your quest to find out more about what the nightlife in Leeds has to offer, we’ve pulled together some of our best activities and places.

The Tetley

If you love and appreciate art than you will love some of the amazing and varied events that The Tetley host on an evening.  To catch up on the most contemporary work on display may see you taking part in walks, talks, as well as dedicated events. The Tetley also offers a restaurant and bar, allowing you to grab something to eat and drink before making the most of the late-night art exhibitions happening in the galleries.

Belgrave Music Hall

If live music is more your thing than sit back and enjoy some of the best live music in Leeds.  With events such as the Belgrave Feast (known for being one of the most recognised street food haunts and art markets in Yorkshire), The Wet Spot (a sell-out night of cabaret and burlesque), and Viva La Música (a fast-paced night of Latin music gets everyone on their toes), the Belgrave Music Hall has something for everyone.

Ghost Nights

If you’re looking for something a little (or a lot) more spine-tingling than why not experience the ultimate scarefest at Simply Ghost Nights.  With overnight stays available at many haunted places in and around Leeds, do you dare to spend the night at the Old Dispensary, Temple Newsam or the Thackray Medical Museum?  With Simply Ghost Nights you can take part in Victorian-style meetings, Ouija boards and more!

Of course, this isn’t for the faint-hearted, and on a serious note it’s not appropriate for children or those with a serious heart illness – for the team at Crucial Engineering we’re just outright scared!

Roxy Ball Room

You’d be mistaken for thinking that the Roxy Ball Room was just like any other social venue in Leeds, but inside is where you will find that the Roxy offers so much more.  If you’re interested in indoor games such as pool, table football, ping-pong and more, all with a chilled atmosphere and big open public space, then the Roxy is for you. Oh, and to add even further to the unusual venue it also boasts a beautiful golf course you can use too!

Tick Tock Unlock

As the number of escape rooms increases up and down the country, Leeds has something different to offer.  The one of its kind virtual reality gaming experience provided by Tick Tock Unlock. This virtual reality game can involve locking yourself in a room to pushing yourself to almost another dimension!  The experience of virtual reality with video games is completely unique – are you ready to give it a go?

Of course, if you just fancy a quiet drink or a little bit of dancing and music, you will find a number of bars and clubs to choose from in the heart of the city centre.
